The Gift Playlist for Jean Paul Gaultier

    To bring awareness to Jean Paul Gaultier’s three hero fragrances during the holiday season, we produced a digital destination called “The Gift Playlist” on Nylon. We supplied readers with timely fragrance, style, and gifting content to help them unlock excitement for the upcoming holidays. The visual identity and art direction for the destination was wrapped around the idea of an ‘icy holiday party,’ influenced by the bold party spirit embodied by the two brands.











          


    ● Art Direction



    The photography existed in an imaginary ‘icy holiday party’ where JPG fragrances were served on crystal platters, the centerpiece of decor, and the topic on everyone’s lips. We wanted lively imagery so we worked directly with our photographer and prop stylist to create movement with ice, smoke, and props.

    For the destination’s overarching art direction, we relied heavily on iced out collages for all of our custom content but, aligned the collages and photography to each other in tandem.

    For The Gift Playlist destination, we imagined and designed an immersive, icy wonderland for all of our holiday gifting, beauty, and style content to live in.

    Leveraging the fragrance’s various scent profiles, I collaged visuals for site and social that helped Nylon readers imagine how they might smell (at least until scratch and sniff works through the phone).
